This study was developed by naturopathic physician Peter J. D''Adamo and published in his book "Eat right for your type" (Eat right according to your blood type), published in 1996 in the United States of America.
Basically, this diet follows the premise that each blood group (A, B, AB and O) should eat specific foods. For each blood group, the food can be classified as:
- Beneficial: foods that prevent and treat diseases;
- Neutral: foods that do not prevent disease or affect the health of the person;
- Harmful: foods that can aggravate or cause harm to the person.
